Painting on natural found materials like leaves, sticks and bark is one of our favourite activities. It's also super easy and cheap.
This time we decided to make our painted leaves into a pretty mobile to celebrate Autumn.
MATERIALS:
- Leaves
- Paint sticks or markers like Posca pens
- String
- Sticks
- Masking tape
HOW TO:
Start decorating your leaves, we used paint sticks, they are easy to use and give great vibrant colours.
We played about with our leaves making pretty flower collages first before making our mobile. If you stuck them down they would make pretty artwork just on their own.
To make the mobile, find a nice stick and decorate it with colourful yarn by wrapping the yarn around. Tie on some long strings and use masking tape to attach the leaves to the strings.
