TAPE RELIEF LETTERS

Tape relief childrens painting

With a little preparation from you, this is a really easy project for very little ones. We used ours as Valentines cards but you could make birthday party signs or name labels for the kids bedroom doors, the possibilities are endless!

MATERIALS:

  • Cardboard
  • Masking tape
  • Paints or oil pastels

HOW TO:

Mask out the letters or shapes you want to create using masking tape or painters tape. Then let your little one loose with the paint. If your masking tape feels very sticky, a good trick is to rub it across your clothes to pick up a little lint to make the tape less sticky otherwise it can rip the cardboard when you remove it.

Once the paint is dried, remove the tape to reveal your text. We also added some painted cardboard shapes and decorated our signs with paint markers.
