FORK & SPOON PEOPLE
This is one of those simple child-led crafts that just happened!
In our kitchen/dining area at home we have a craft table and shelf set up with a range of art and craft materials freely available for the kids to create with anytime. I had these wooden forks and spoons left over from a party so I had added them to their box of loose wooden bit and bobs for the kids to make with. They had been there for a while, them one day inspiration hit and my little one began drawing faces of the spoons and making characters to act out stories with. I love watching this awesome imaginative play unfolding.
MATERIALS:
- Wooden spoons and forks
- Marker pens or paint markers
- Coloured yarn
- Glue
HOW TO:
I feel this activity doesn't really require any explanation! Draw faces on your spoons and start playing.
You could get creative and add hair using yarn or clothes using scraps of fabric. Another option to extend the project would be to make a theatre using a cardboard box to act out your favourite stories.
