GODS EYE WEAVING
I love the simplicity of these woven pieces, I can't decide if these are going on your Christmas tree or hanging blowing in the wind outside. They are so easy to make, even my 4yr old stuck at it for quite a while and loved choosing all the colours to use.
MATERIALS:
- Some straight sticks
- Colourful yarn or thin cord
- Scissors
HOW TO:
Cut 2 sticks, each approximately 20 cm long. Tie your sticks in the middle using yarn to make a cross shape.
Begin weaving the yarn around your sticks, wrapping it under, around and over each stick. Then rotate the sticks and repeat the action of wrapping the yarn under, around and over the next stick. Continue wrapping building up layers of yarn.
When you want to add a new color, just tie on the new yarn and continue wrapping.
Once you have filled your sticks with yarn, knot the end of the yarn around the stick to secure. Tie a loop in the end of your yarn so you can hang your Gods eye weaving decoration.
