Portraits with kids
This portrait project if a fun an easy way to get kids engaging with their emotions and talking about there likes, dislikes, what they enjoy or how they feel. Beginning with a picture of your little one gives them a starting point. We then spoke about things that we enjoy, what we are good at and things that define our personalities. For little ones this could be as simple as their favourite colours, foods or toys.
I then set out a range of art materials including paints, markers, glue, old magazines, maps, fabric scraps and yarn. We then set about interpreting those things about our personalities onto paper to create our portraits.

- A sheet of A3 cartridge paper or card
