I love the intricate designs on traditional playing cards but I have to admit, I felt a little guilty cutting up the cards to make this project! The only thing that made it better was that I used some old decks that were missing a few cards. You can often pick up playing card sets at second hand shops.
MATERIALS:
- A few sets of playing cards with different colour backs and patterns
- PVA glue and a small brush
- Scissors
HOW TO:
Begin by looking at all your cards noticing which features you would like to use in you collage people.
Choose a head to use and cut it out. Begin cutting out other body parts to create your collage card characters.
Assemble your characters using PVA glue to stick the body parts together. Add fun details like hats, bows and frills on dresses in contrasting colours and patterns.
Leave your characters on a flat surface until the glue has dried.
