PAPER DOLLS
Making PAPER DOLLS is a classic children's art activity and one that is fun every time. One of my all time favourite children's books is Paper Dolls by Julia Donaldson (be warned this book made me cry the first time I read it!) so we decided to make our own paper dolls.
We made this project during the COVID-19 pandemic as an activity to talk to my little ones about missing their friends and family, so each of the doll characters was one of their friends that they would be able to hold hands with again once the pandemic was over.
MATERIALS:
- White paper
- Colouring materials like coloured pens, wax crayons and colouring pencils
- Scissors
HOW TO:
Fold your paper (we used a strip cut from an A3 sheet) and cut the paper dolls out. I drew the doll shape on the paper first making it easier to cut out. Then get creative and create your doll characters.
