JUNK TOTEMS
I always save plastic lids and other interesting objects to use in craft, I have a large 'that could be interesting for craft' box in the kitchen cupboard, when that box starts overflowing the items get sorted and added to our craft supply cupboard. Although these days, as I am endeavoring to by less items with plastic packaging, these items are in short supply!
Our recycled junk totems and mini plant pots are perfect for up-cycling these plastic items into something new.
MATERIALS:
- A selection of different size plastic lids, bottle tops and other components
- Glue (hot glue gun is quick and easy but doesn't bond the plastic very well, UHU glue is better but takes longer to dry).
HOW TO:
Just play around with your parts and make funny characters. We used the larger lids as the body parts and then added legs and face details. We used a selection of similar size lids so they stacked as a totem very well.
Once we had finished playing with our totems we decided they would make the perfect little plant pots!
