KIDS EMBRIODERY
I have been wanting to try embroidery with my children for a long time. I have seen many awesome projects others have made, I particularly love this project by ART BAR BLOG and wanted to give it a go.
I was so surprised by how much both my 3yr old and 6yr old enjoyed this project and how well they managed it. Yes there were a few knots in the thread but I love the beautiful creations they made.
This activity was very open ended, I arranged a selection of coloured yarns, wooden beads and fabric scraps and let the children design their own creations.
MATERIALS:
- Loose weave embroidery fabric
- Small wooden embroidery hoops
- Coloured yarns
- Wooden beads
- Fabric scraps (optional)
- Embroidery needles
HOW TO:
Begin by securing the fabric into the embroidery hoop, choose your yarn and thread the needle. Then being making your beautiful creations. There are no rules, just begin stitching and see what happens.

Happy crafting friends!
