KIDS EMBRIODERY

Fun children's embroidary craft

I have been wanting to try embroidery with my children for a long time. I have seen many awesome projects others have made, I particularly love this project by ART BAR BLOG and wanted to give it a go.

I was so surprised by how much both my 3yr old and 6yr old enjoyed this project and how well they managed it. Yes there were a few knots in the thread but I love the beautiful creations they made.

This activity was very open ended, I arranged a selection of coloured yarns, wooden beads and fabric scraps and let the children design their own creations.

MATERIALS:

  • Loose weave embroidery fabric
  • Small wooden embroidery hoops
  • Coloured yarns
  • Wooden beads
  • Fabric scraps (optional)
  • Embroidery needles

HOW TO:

Begin by securing the fabric into the embroidery hoop, choose your yarn and thread the needle. Then being making your beautiful creations.
