CLAY FAIRY HOUSE

How to make a clay fairy cave

Working with clay is always fun, kids love the squishy texture. I love how making this clay fairy house engaged my little ones imagination. After finishing the house, he kept going to check it each morning to see if the fairies had moved in yet!

MATERIALS:

  • Clay - we used air drying clay
  • Terracotta plant pot saucer
  • Paints
  • Gems, pom poms, beads, feathers and wooden craft sticks
  • Twigs and seed pods

HOW TO:

Roll out a piece of clay and mold over a ball of paper to make the cave shape. (Remove the ball of paper once the clay is dry.)

Decorate your cave with gems, pom poms, feathers and natural resources like gum nuts.

Once the clay has dried, add extra decorations with paints.

Wait for your fairies to move in, apparently ours are on their way on an Airbus A380 from England!
