BRANCH PAINTING
This is such a fun and simple collaborative kids art project from the fantastic book ART WORKSHOP for CHILDREN by Barbara Rucci (@artbarblog) and Betsy Mckenna. Art Workshop for Children is not just another book of straightforward art projects. The book's unique child-led approach provides a framework for cultivating creative thinking and encourages the wonder that comes when children are allowed to freely explore the creative process and their materials. It's one of our favorite go-to books for simple, creative ideas and I highly recommend adding it to your collection!

Once your decorated branch has dried, you could display it in the corner of the room with kids art hanging on it, you could even use it as a contemporary Christmas tree!
MATERIALS:
- A large tree branch - we used one with pine cones attached
- Paints
- Brushes
HOW TO:
Just find the largest branch you can manage to carry and set it up somewhere you don't mind getting a bit messy. Set out a range of colourful paints, just regular kids poster paints work fine. I find adding some white paint to the colours helps the paint to cover the wood better. We found some great branches with huge pine cones attached!
This is a great project to work collaboratively on together with friends. Fun and messy process art at its best!
