BOX MONSTER HEADS
The inspiration for this activity came from the amazing LETS MAKE ART UK, they are truly masters of putting boxes (and paper bags) on their heads! I urge you to go check out their blog.
MATERIALS:
- Head size cardboard boxes
- Paint
- Craft glue
- Craft knife
- Paper for collage
- Any other bits and bobs that might make interesting additions to your monster box heads!
HOW TO:
First, I took the boxes apart, turned them inside out and glued them back together again, this gives you a blank canvas to work on. Next I cut a slot in the box at eye level using a craft knife so you can see out. Then we began painting our boxes.
We cut out and painted a selection of cardboard shapes to use for collage. We also cut out a selection of shapes from coloured paper. Once the paint had dried on our boxes we began to make our monster faces gluing the paper and cardboard shapes onto the boxes.
