ANIMAL MASKS
We love making our own fancy dress costumes, these animal masks are fun and easy to make. The most fun part was making lots of different animal print paint textures and patterns using different materials.
We made owls, a fox and a bunny mask but you could get creative and make lots of different animals.
MATERIALS:
- Cardboard
- Paints
- Textured materials to print with
- Coloured paper
- Craft knife
- Paint markers pens
- Elastic
HOW TO:
We began by painting lots of different animal print textures on cardboard. We used brushes, folks, spatulas, twigs, bubble wrap and corrugated paper to make lots of different patterns and textures.
Once all our painted cardboard had dried, I cut out the mask shapes, beaks and eyebrows. My little ones glued everything together and decorated their masks with paint markers. Once the masks are finished, add an elastic strap so it can be worn.
